-----Original Message----- From: On Behalf Of Reuven Segal Subject: [VFB] Question for all
1. For saltwater baitfish patterns, what is your one favourite material to use? 2. If you had only half a dozen colours to choose 3. Do you tend to mix different fibres Repeat after me: I need 3 flies : 1. a Clouser 2. a deceiver 3. a Seaducer I need 4 colors: 1. red, 2. white, 3. chartreuse 4. black I need 3 materials: 1 deer hair 2 any synthetic hair of fibre (mix as needed) 3 cheap saltwater hackle. I must admit that I have become an extreme minimalist in my fly choices. And I still drool over the absolutely gorgeous creations of DonO, Jerry Caruso and Ginger Allan. However, for the type of fishing that I do, near shore and inshore salt water, the size and presentation of the fly is much, much important than anything else. The only concession I make to material in when I am off-shore. In this water, I must admit that Awsum Hair makes a difference. JG -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
