Mark: It has been a while since I visited your site. I just went and checked out all the panfish and bass flies as we have no trout to speak of here in Bama either..AWESOME flies man, just AWESOME.. On the balsa wood bodies, do you cut a slit in the wood, slip it on the hook, then super glue the slit closed??? Also, I had forgotten about catalpa worms...We have a LOT of those here and when I was a bait chunking kid, with live catalpa worms, I caught bluegills, shell crackers, war mouths, Green sunfish, pumpkinseeds, all manner of brim, along with crappie, bass (both large and small mouthed" and even some channel catfish with those, so I must try that pattern..
