Comment from George: "If the bug does not work why waste time & money on it. I mean the idea is to catch fish---Right?"
I used to think that. Of course that was until I had children. Now at 4 yrs and 4 months, I am glad these last 4 years I have focused on fly tying as an art and a hobby unto itself; because I just haven't had the time on the water I was used to. In that spell I moved into some level of Atlantic Salmon flies, saltwater flies, new techniques, new tools, and new materials. The result is a healthy appetite for creativity - not just for catching fish - but to challenge my skills and cravings for dressing a hook. Now when I go fishing, I seldom bring the funky stuff as I much rather fish with my simpler flies that have produced and are overflowing with confidence. But with that said, I have ample selections to choose from when I have a little room in the box to fill. My 2 cents... Chappy www.chappysguide.com
