As 'cool' as this sounds, put on a disposable mask(the cheap white ones) for
the trimming. Perhaps Byard will start decorating them with his emblem. Not
my cup of tea, but if nothing else works, and your wife is complaining about
the mess, you can tell her to leave you to concentrate as you are
operating:scalpel, clamps, threads everywhere like a real flytier.

Thankfully, I don't have a problem with deer hair when I'm tying.   But I
gave up deer
hunting several years ago after I sneezed and wheezed my way thru the
skinning
of the eight pointer I had killed.  Same problem with rabbits.  Much to the
disappointment
of my male Springer.  He's crazy about rabbits.
