Off of route 50, just north of 66 in Northern Virginia there is a small pond called Walney Pond in Eleanor C. Lawrence park. I have only fished it once years ago. I was trying to teach myself to fish at the time and managed to catch bream with one of those little 1 1/2 foot zebco spincast reels. No elegant knots (probably a square knot to tie the hook on :> ), threw some fake plastic worms on a hook that was probably too large and caught a fish. So, if it's still in good shape, I'd imagine somebody who knew what they were doing might do alright. Room to cast if I recall correctly. Sure would love to go back there now that I can tie a proper knot. I'd probably get skunked though. Good thing I still have that little zebco...
