Chuck, I've sent directions for the bend-back, but if I'm fishing weeds or heavy cover, I also forego the barbell eyes in lieu of a conehead (the barbells pick up weeds as bad as the hook would). Then I glue on epoxy eyes and tie so that the head is narrow and has no bumps and then coat the whole head with cement to make it smooth.
This is my best weedless minnow fly in all variations. Don't underneath the hook shank when doing those wraps. They are to "lock-in" your figure 8 wraps, and should be done extremely tight. If you do them correctly, you won't need near as many figure 8 wraps.....thereby saving time.
