What about English walnut? Do wood-workers typically have a reaction to walnut? I have a lot of left from my dad, who made a lot of furniture, like cedar chests, bed sets, etc., and put quite a bit of it away. I have used some of it. Some pieces are probably 25 or 30 years old. It is now stored in my garage, high and dry.....

Use a turners smock with long sleeves or at least a plastic apron with a long sleeved shirt. Always wear eye protection and at least a dust mask (I use an air powered respirator). Hope this helps a bit. Bear
