I see... Then what am I doing wrong, as I have a harder time casting these
flies on my softer rod than my stiffer one??? I think it may be in that
"slowing down" tip... I keep thinking that if I slow down it's (the big fly)
gonna make a splashdown (I fish in a boat LOL) on my back cast, Chuck

That would be more flexible, the rod would bend
further down towards the grip.
