On top, (laying on the cork, just like I said, and
pointing towards the
tip of the fly rod. Not grasping the rod. My thumb
and other three
fingers do that. BTW, your fore finger is the one
next to your thumb.
:-P Don't know how to make it any plainer, unless
I draw a diagram.
