Allan, Chuck, Don and Gang,
Thanks for the tips so far. First off - the body's are already
painted and have slits in the bottoms. Looking up thru the slit, I
see white foam -- it looks like the hard packed polystyrene
foam. I'm not sure of the hook size, but I'd guess 4ish in size and
there's a bump in the shank. The shank itself seems long too, but I
know I need room to tie on some sort of tail (I have 2 green heads
and 1 black one. I'm going to try a split deer hair tail and a split
hackle tail (ala Allan's idear). I'm hoping for bass and larger
'gills to hit on these. It's a hard foam type Don and I might add
some sort of coating to them after I've tied them, either Sally
Jensens Hard-as-Nails or I have some Flex-Coat or Fleximent around
here to use too.
My other questions about the bump is do I push the body down on the
bump so that the head fits 'flat' or how you would think it should
look on there, or should I let the gap that I know is going to be
there if I don't stay? Would pictures help to describe the hook?
Thanks so far and sorry for any confusion.

Garry,
What species of fish will you be targeting?
What size poppers did you get?
Are they the hard-body or soft foam body type?
