Listers, I am looking for a step by step with pictures or videos of Enrico Puglisi’s flies, specifically, the following patterns: _http://www.epflies.com/catalog.html_ (http://www.epflies.com/catalog.html) mullet, pinfish, backcountry. What I really like about these flies is that they maintain their shape in the water. I have seen them be particularly effective for several of the species that I target. Unfortunately no matter how I trim and tie my flies, they do not look like his flies. Thanks in advance, JG Jerry: I also answered this on [EMAIL PROTECTED] Can't help you with those patterns, I prefer not having to cut my patterns to shape besides his material is so damn expensive. Here's the mullet pattern I use. _http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery4500dc3c2bf2e.jpg_ (http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery4500dc3c2bf2e.jpg) Here's a couple of other patterns I use that you might find useful. _http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery45188b2b6c606.jpg_ (http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery45188b2b6c606.jpg) _http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery4521adcb23851.jpg_ (http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery4521adcb23851.jpg) _http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery4521ae4457042.jpg_ (http://www.flytyingforum.com/uploads/gallery4521ae4457042.jpg) My guess is he is high tying the material, and then trimming it. On patterns I above, I do little if any trimming and they hold their shape in the water. The instructions below aren't for Puglisi's flies but you might find them useful. The concept can be used to tie either wide profile or narrow profile flies.
