Subject: Re: [VFB] Saturday's fishing

Thanks, MArk.

For flyfishermen, wind is almost the ultimate enemy.

Despite the subject line of this email, you are always welcome to Florida
and Chez Goldsmith. However, here are the fishing results from my last few
visitors.

Alan Fish - we wisely cancelled the first day. The second day after many
hours of pleasant conversation as we listed to the rain and wind. we
ventured outside to watch the clouds whizzing by overhead with 25 mph winds.
Never Wet A Line

Joe Cornwall- see above. Except on the second day, with no rain, we
chanced the wind in my yaks and put in at a local lake. Joe caught one
Crappie, period.

Joe Cornwall 2- figured it was time to catch some fish and hired a good
friend who guides to put us on fish. We did see a lot of fish. How ever we
spent 6+ hours in 15-20 mph winds. Poling for position was very difficult
and casting was even harder. At the end of the day, I caught one red on a
spinning rod blind casting and Joe caught a dogfish blind casting a clouser.

Has Weillenman- Hans was here for 3-4days on business. After waiting for the
weather to get better, we finally had to fish on his last day here. The best
we could do was fish the banks of the lake behind my house- ZERO Fish.

And now GBH travels thousand's of mile to our world class fishery, where
just last week in the Everglades, I averaged 70 fish a day and we get
totally blown out.

Seems the story for my visitors is "YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE LAST WEEK".
So you are all still welcomed, but your best strategy would be to visit me
the week before you actually arrive . :-)
