OK... I used a piece of 1/2" PVC cut to about 1 1/2" long, with a cap on the
end..I sanded the PVC pipe to where the cap would slip off pretty easy to get
to the stacked hair and had to use a pretty good bit of Baby powder to cut down
on the static cling caused by the PVC... BTW Jimmy, I am of the mindset that we
should NOT risk our rescuers, time, money etc to save IDIOTS like that Kayaker,
but the Liberals and others would call Me cold hearted.. It's just that some
things are sooooo stupid, I say "You got yourself into it, get YOURSELF out",
Chuck

Speaking of reprimands. The VFB list has gone to ****, these last few days.
But that's the way it is in the Good Ole Summer Time, when most of us are out
fishing and those who aren't play on the VFB list, me included. All the
Central Texas lakes are up at least 25 - 30 feet above normal pool. All their
ramps are closed and so are the lake parks and beaches. The rivers and creeks
are running full blast and Mo Rain is forecast through the weekend. We've
already had one kayaker who tho't the white water was great, but he had to be
rescued by Texas Parks & Wildlife people. Thank God he didn't have a fly rod
with him, or us fly fishers would have never heard the end of it. Speaking of
CRS, Jerry. Somewhere, in the back of my cabin fever mind, I think I remember
being named the Moderator of the VFB. But what's to moderate? Just a bunch of
good ole boy fly fishers having a good time. :-P

Sic'em DonO, Jerry, Allan, Chuck, Joel, and anybody else who has a substitute
for a hair stacker, fly rod, reel, and who knows how to tie a Red-Headed Possum!

  Have a Great Day!

  JIMMY D

  P.S. What Hooks?
