Chuck - The chap stick tube is great as a traveling container for dubbing wax, if you use it. And, yes, after it is empty, soak it in hot water to get out all the extra chap stick goop. After it is clean, just soften your dubbing wax - I use straight bee's wax - press it down in the tube, and let it harden again. With what little I use, a chap stick tube is almost a lifetime supply of dubbing wax.
BUT --- I still find that the outer cover tube of lipstick works best for me as a substitute hair stacker. I just look for one that is close to the length of the hair I am using. Be sure to take one from an older, currently not in use, tube. Mamma might get a little peeved, if you take the one she carries in her purse. -- Joe Fusco, Sr. Member of The Missouri Trout Fishermen's Association and The Virtual Fly Box REMEMBER CANCER IS A WORD NOT A SENTENCE Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
