"Tying my own flies is a vital part of my enjoyment of fly fishing, that is not to say that I am above using fly patterns tied by anyone else. Far from it, if a pattern sitting in someone else's fly box attracts my eye, I have been know to borrow it., on what usually becomes a permanent basis. I have an enthusiasm in seeing fly patters that are designed by other tyers and in learning the methods by which they were tied."
