I remember it was Jim Hatfield. Hard to forget a guy like him. I sure hope to meet him again. I just meant that Lane asked me earlier today if I'd tasted it. During that visit I met many guys who I really would like to meet again, and not only VFB'ers. I got really good friends with Richard Komar, who I have a very frequent contact with today. (He introduced me to my second best friend... Shiner Bock beer.) Tony hooked us up with a guide on the Thursday, the first day of the show. Nick, It was Jim Hatfield, you went absolutely nuts about it. You drank so much root beer that evening, I thought we would have to "Float" you out.LOL If you get to come back, I will make it a point to take you back to A&W again. Now I need to go upstairs and get some Chili Peppers tied to take to the Bamboo Rod Gathering at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center. There will be a short fishing contest at the pond on the Center grounds. It will be a one hour fun thing with a prize or two, only bamboo rods you have made will be used. I will be at the Center Sept 8,9, and the morning of the 10 th. If anyone might be in the area of Livingston Manor N.Y., stop by and say hello. If you need more info, contact me off list.
