Garry: To Me, a bluegill don't need any help... I just put corn meal in a paper bag, add a little salt and pepper.. Put the gills in the bag, shake and fry.. I usually use Peanut oil cause it has a high burn point, but you can use plain ol cheap Soybean oil too, Chuck
And while we're at it (all cardiologists and dieticians please read no further), they taste a ton better fried in good old Crisco!
