Another program for storing with picture and text is SuperFly Fishing
Machine (http://www.erobillard.com/SuperFly/)... which also includes
sections for materials, inventory, insects, people, waters, books,
charts/tables (AFTMA, fish scale, leaders, hooks).
... and FlyFree Pattern Database
(http://www.jerryhadden.com/flyfree/flyfree.html).

Not for sharing though, these are so you won't forget the "zzzzecret"
patterns.

Use the Flysource software and store and share your patterns. It's what I do
with mine. I have over 1600 done this way. It's written specifically for
this purpose.

Hi,

I keep a diary of how I do things at the bench, mostly as a recipe and
if something is done one a particular way then I'll write that down.
More because I'll forget than anything. If Away then I'll write it in
my fishing diary.

A note book by the vise can be very useful.
