In Fly-Tyer's Benchside Reference as the 'Parallell Weave' /Niclas -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] För Peter Gramp Skickat: den 6 januari 2008 15:05 Till: [email protected] Ämne: Re: [VFB] Woven flies
The weave you linked below is best shown (in my opinion) by Oliver Edward's "Polish Nymph" video segment... I *THINK* it is on his 'essential skills' dvd... but he calls it the "polish nymph weave'. As for the "real" name, I'm not certain - I think it's the "Polish Weave", but that's likely wrong. I think it's in the Fly Tyers' Benchside Reference, but with moving the tying room into the tying 'corner' to make room for the nursery, I haven't found the book nor looked it up. I mean no offense, but I don't think it's the Potts weave, as that ends up like a even-edged Mohawk down the top of the fly, if I remember correctly, versus the zipper- look seen at the link. Just trying to help, is all - and apologies if this was already replied to... I've several hundred e-mails that piled up over the last week or so that I'm trying to wade through...
