Youtube creates a lot of traffic and I suppose a large portion of it is
vp9/opus but 99.9% of the youtube video is not something I would consider
“entertainment grade”. Dont get me wrong, but when you look at CE devices that
consume streaming video, vp9/opus is not on the top of the list.

DASH is codec agnostic, so it does not care. Whether someone will use netvc for
DASH, I am not holding my breath.
