Hi Mike, Hmm... Well, I'd never buy a Radio Shack 'noise injector' ;), but I do have a high-quality RF amp kicking about that I'll hook up.
I had assumed that since xawtv displayed a good picture, my signal strength was fine, but perhaps this isn't really so... An interesting suggestion. Thanks, I'll let you know if it makes the difference. Cheers, Pat -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Mike Wood Sent: Wednesday, February 20, 2002 9:54 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [V4L] Interlace Noise (field swapping?) on Pinnacle PCTV I own the same card as you, and found that my picture quality was pretty poor until I hooked up one those radio shack cable TV amplifiers. The problem wasn't very pronounced in fbtv, but when I encoded mpegs/divx's it was fairly noticeable. Try going and picking on of these things up, and if it doesn't solve your problem you have 15 days or so in which to return it. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, February 20, 2002 3:43 AM Subject: RE: [V4L] Interlace Noise (field swapping?) on Pinnacle PCTV > Aha.
