I am a newbie about linux video, I use Redhat 7.2 for test my video card.
my video card was based BT878A chipset. and no turner and some others ,it just a video
card. include composite1,composite2,and S-VIDEO. I use xawtv-3,76 in my machine, and
bttv-0.7.65 downloaded driver, I compile the bttv successful and :
insmod videodev.o
insmod bttv.o
just fine about that.
and I compile xawtv also successful and enter X-windows I test this:
/xawtv (my linux use 1024x768 solutions)
it appear the following errors:

v4l:timeout (got SIGALRM) ,hardware/driver problems?
ioctl:VIDIOCSYNC(0) Interrupted System Call

ioctl: ...................

I find some method from google.com and modify SYNC_TIMEOUT to 8 and 12, this add
timeout for xawtv ,but it is not work.
can someone help me?
