Should these settings in /etc/modules.conf be the same for PAL. I’m now capturing images OK in NTSC since I made those changes but PAL is still creating completely corrupted images.

The output from the app. Is exactly as you said it should be now. Also, after the lines…………………

            vm.offsets[0]=0x00000000

                        vm.offsets[1]=0x00208000

the app. Appears to pause for up to 1 or 2 minutes before completing execution??? Any idea why? Sometimes the pause is quite short and sometimes it is very long.

Have you made setup change in /etc/modules.conf right? It should like following:

                        alias char-major-89 i2c-dev

                        options i2c-core i2c_debug=1

                        options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1

                        alias char-major-81 bttv

                        alias char-major-81-0 bttv

                        options bttv card=73 radio=1

                        options tuner debug=1 type=4
