Thanks, Gerd! Can't wait for it :-)) BTW, unrelated to subject: xawtv 3.82 now has always-on-top fixed, thanks, but the fullscreen is not correct yet. The gnome2 menu bars (both top and bottom) stay visible. According to Havoc it should be fixable by following the same source of info that also helped you to fix the always-on-top in GNOME2.
