I am still having trouble with the ATI-TV Wonder to just capture a simple picture from a S-VIDEO source. #1 the RCA port doesn't even work nor does the Coax (RF) port. When i use the RCA port i just get a blue signal (i.e. nothing can be seen) and when i use the RF port i just get tv snow. Here is the capture of my dmesg as the system boots up. I have bttv-0.7.27 and the new xawtv 3.13 with 2.2.14 using the webcam script from it. i2c-core.o: i2c core module i2c-algo-bit.o: i2c bit algorithm module Linux video capture interface: v1.00 bttv: driver version 0.7.27 loaded bttv: using 2 buffers with 2080k (4160k total) for capture bttv0: Brooktree Bt878 (rev 2) bus: 0, devfn: 72, irq: 10, memory: 0xf4102000. bttv: 1 Bt8xx card(s) found. i2c-core.o: adapter bt848 #0 registered as adapter 0. bttv0: vbi1: po=017b5040 pe=017b5440 bttv0: vbi2: po=017b50d0 pe=017b54d0 bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- flags=0x0 dma=off bttv0: i2c: checking for eeprom @ 0xa0... found bttv0: id: ATI TV Wonder (0x00011002) bttv0: => card=10 (Hauppauge new (bt878)) bttv0: model: BT878(Hauppauge new (bt878)) bttv0: Hauppauge eeprom: tuner=Samsung TCPN9085D (4) bttv0: Hauppauge msp34xx: reset line init bttv0: i2c: checking for MSP34xx @ 0x80... found i2c-core.o: adapter unregistered: bt848 #0 i2c-core.o: adapter bt848 #0 registered as adapter 0. bttv0: i2c: checking for MSP34xx @ 0x80... found bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA8425 @ 0x82... not found bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA985x @ 0xb6... not found bttv0: i2c: checking for TDA9875 @ 0xb0... not found ---- when i start up the webcam script for the first time i get: [root@Webcam webcam]# ./webcam reading config file: /root/.webcamrc video4linux webcam v1.2 - (c) 1998,99 Gerd Knorr grabber config: size 640x480, input -2, norm 1, jpeg quality 75 ftp config: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:public_html uploading.jpg => webcam.jpg ftp: connected to www.southfayette.org ioctl VIDIOCSYNC: Input/output error High School Construction 02.05.2000 12:03:39 ---- it takes the picture but it gets all screwed up like as in: http://lions.net/~webcam/archive/05-02-00-12:04:18.jpg Here is what my demsg shows: bttv0: PLL: 28636363 => 35468950 ... ok bttv0: ioctl 0x803c7601 bttv0: ioctl 0xc0307602 bttv0: ioctl 0x40307603 bttv0: vbi1: po=017b5040 pe=017b5440 bttv0: vbi2: po=017b50d0 pe=017b54d0 bttv0: PLL: switching off bttv0: ioctl 0x40107613 bttv0: vrisc1: ro=016a4000 re=016a6000 bttv0: vrisc2: ro=016a4ad8 re=016a6ad8 bttv0: cap vgrab: queue 0 (4:640x480) bttv0: ioctl 0x40047612 bttv0: cap sync: sleep on 0 bttv0: cap irq: capture 0 bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- e0=016a4000 ----------- o0=016a6000 flags=0x3 dma=on bttv0: irq: SCERR risc_count=016a643c bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- e0=016a4000 ----------- o0=016a6000 flags=0x3 dma=on bttv0: irq: SCERR risc_count=016a643c bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- e0=016a4000 ----------- o0=016a6000 flags=0x3 dma=on bttv0: irq: SCERR risc_count=016a643c bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- e0=016a4000 ----------- o0=016a6000 flags=0x3 dma=on bttv0: irq: SCERR risc_count=016a643c bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- e0=016a4000 ----------- o0=016a6000 flags=0x3 dma=on bttv0: irq: SCERR risc_count=016a643c bttv0: aiee: error loops bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- flags=0x0 dma=off bttv0: cap sync: buffer 0, retval -5 bttv0: resetting chip bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- flags=0x0 dma=off bttv0: ioctl 0x40107613 bttv0: vrisc1: ro=016a4000 re=016a6000 bttv0: vrisc2: ro=016a4ad8 re=016a6ad8 bttv0: cap vgrab: queue 0 (4:640x480) bttv0: ioctl 0x40047612 bttv0: cap sync: sleep on 0 bttv0: cap irq: capture 0 bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- e0=016a4000 ----------- o0=016a6000 flags=0x3 dma=on bttv0: cap irq: done 0 bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- flags=0x0 dma=off bttv0: cap sync: buffer 0, retval 0 bttv0: set_risc_jmp 017b5000: ----------- ----------- ----------- ----------- flags=0x0 dma=off If then i stop the webcam script and restart it again.. it takes the picture but it is in B&W ONLY... no errors..
