You are right, it is utterly enlightening ;-)
There's nothing there that could make a difference, except if you are
using the XVideo extension. Zapping cannot use it (it uses normal
overlay), but xawtv can.
Does xawtv -noxv make any difference? If it doesn't, it must be
something I wrote while i was on crack, cause i cannot remember it :-)
