I used to have frequent hard lockups with bttv in the "early" days, but
they went away sometime during the 2.2.x kernels. I wonder if it's not
my tuner card that's the root cause of these problems? I may try
something a little newer and perhaps better supported. In the meantime,
I hope somebody can shed some light.
