I will recompile my 2.6 kernel soon - I think 2.6.0-test7 maybe I'll wait for test8 and ready patch for md2819 ;).
If you send me your hardware spec, I could include necessairly drivers and put ready to install tarball on my ftp server.
I think it should work on RH - I use PLD - develop version (called unstable - but I can not complain) - sometimes I use rh rpms I saw, that PLD packages works on rh too. Anyway - gcc-3.3 and glibc-2.3.2 have same version (I suppose).
Then you should only install it with traditionall way - copying vmlinuz and installig modules - two commands.
Note that saa7134 IR control work only with 2.6 kernels - cvs version of lirc I can prepare too.
