recorded over one, I was in the Orkney Islands of Scotland and didn't
really have the time to get new tapes, so I taped over. I ended up
with lots of artifacts from the previous recording on the new
recording. I edited out the wierd little 1 frame freak outs, but it
was enough of a pain that I just go to costco and buy packages of 4
tapes for 14 dollars and stick em in a drawer when I'm done. I need
to go to the tape store and buy a brick of panasonics soon. It's
about the same price per tape in bulk and they supposedly are more
archive safe.
I also religiously switch the little save tab on the tape when I fill
up a tape.
I'm filling up a harddrive, but I really need to output to dv or maybe
even back out to tape just to be safe. Hard drives fail.
Just my 2 cents.
