Its true that some sources on the internet say its 330. Im not sure
they are right.

I can certainly say that digital UK TV (which is PAL) is 720x576, and
thats not called High definition, its normal. There are multiple
different High Definition formats, they are all quite a bit higher res
than what we've been talking about.

These 720x480 and 720x576 are also the sorts of resolutions which most
DV etc videocameras work at, so most likely to be one of the
resolution choices videobloggers have above 320x240, in most cases its
the resolution they will have done their editing in. (but as
previously mentioned the appearence of mpeg4 etc tapeless recorders
complicates this)

Another way to look at it is what is called 'broadcast quality'. If
you did some freelance work for a TV station or something that would
end up on TV, they are not going to want it at a res like 330xsomething.

But if you record TV onto VHS video then the resolution is more like
what you suggest.

Anyway you could just try playing a 320x240 videoblog on a TV and see
if it looks the same quality as normal TV. IMHO, it doesnt, its worse,
but not as bad as watching it fullscreen on a computer monitor.

I think I enjoy talking about TV resolutions too much.

That's HDTV. Scroll down to "resolution".
