though content will often be 'more produced' by hardcore content creators, it doesnt automatically translate to being 'better' since that is defined by each of the audience.

No, the hardcore you're talking about are simply going in a different
direction - they aren't pushing anything further than the web publishers.
You make content for the web doesn't automatically mean your quality is
inferior to those who want to make content for the TV.
