Scroll down the page and it looks like it is he who has the mission to
contact existing video creators.
It strikes me that theres an emerging problem in the mindset of people
behind all these free worldwide video distribution systems.
They think the video creators are more desperate for their services,
for the ultimate bandwidth/distribution solution, than people actually
are.
Now there are numerous bandwidth etc issues, but solutions have
emerged such as ourmedia. And I think they make a mistake to assume
that people are creating small res/size videos only because of their
publishing bandwidth costs. Wheras the reality is also about how long
it takes to compress stuff, deinterlacing, and enabling as many
viewers as possible to see the content without needing to download any
extra software.
It could go either way in future. I expect bandwidth issues to come
back as a more major issue for videobloggers, HD stuff may catch on,
all sorts of other factors.
But right now at this moment in time its easy to believe there are
almost more publishing solutions available than there are
videobloggers to use them. Id happily bet that services may be
receiving a response far less favourable than they were predicting.
Its much the same as wider video over IP stuff, its really unclear
which horse to bet, who is gonna be a winner, at the moment Im just
swimming in a world of pre-release press releases, feeling glad Im not
a venture capitalist.
