He tells all of that during the interview with
Garfield. He also makes fun of the Mac "convention" in Boston because
Apple apparently didn't even come. He sings a funny song he wrote about
Bill Gates singing to new developers of software: "You're bought! You're
fired! You're unemployed now!"
The fact that his weekly vlogs on the New York
Times website are not RSS feeds really shows the importance of things like
FireANT. Who would go to the New York Times looking for a vlog? We
really need to have RSS feeds and aggregators to know what is out
there.
Actually, is there any other way to find other
vlogs efficiently on the internet? Maybe, we should develop a list
for those worth watching that don't have RSS feeds. How would you search for a
vlog with a certain subject matter in it? Unless the subject is in the
title, search engines can't examine content can they?
By the way Taylor, thanks for directing me to the
2005 FPW Dell LCD Flat Panel 24" 1920 X 1200. It lists now for $1199
but Dell had it on sale for ten days last month in those inserts they put in
newspaper for $960. They repeated that offer in this week's insert which
is valid for from 9/1/05 -9/14/05. They "key code" on the back of the
pamphlet is 01288.
I'm ordering one for myself this week. It has
all those inputs the Apple model lacks and costs $500 plus less.
For those who want to watch Steve Garfield's
interview with Pogue, go to either of these links and scroll down till you find
it. It's worth the time. http://stevegarfield.blogs.com/videoblog/
