There are a wide variety on my site. I would definitely show them the Buckminster Fuller Site. That is a classic set of video if there ever was one. Those videos of Bucky used to cost thousands of dollars to buy. Now they are free from his site. And Jay Dedman on Vlogging from last year. And Molly Holzschlag on Blogging as an act of courage from last month. All are classics.
You could also point out that the http://FutureMedia.org site didn't exist until the last day of July '05 and that there was no video on it until August 9 and no feed until August 14 and no iTunes Directory listing until August 21 and that on August 29 it was deemed one of the World's Best Video sites by London's The Independent online edition. Point being that they can invent a new site and get global recognition for executing a good idea in less than a month. So anything is possible. Well you've got to admit that is a pretty amazing story no matter who's site we are talking about. I think kids should know how fast success can happen in this arena. So it's not about me. It's a classic example of rapid critical acclaim possibilities.
