I just downloaded Flash 8 Pro yesterday, but I need to read up on the video settings. I used the standalone Flash 8 Video Encoder to process my latest video post but the quality was not very good. Not sure where I'm going wrong, but I'm assuming it is a problem with my settings...
First I took an iMovie project and exported it with very high-quality (6400 frame rate) and kept it to the original size. The result is a big 110MB Quicktime MOV file that looks quite nice. This file was then processed using Flash's new video encoder. I tried both the Sorenson Spark codec (Flash 7 player) and the On2 VP6 (Flash 8 player) but both looked bad. Here are the available settings and what I've selected... Ecoding Profile: Flash 7 - High Quality (700kbps) Ecoding Profile: Flash 8 - High Quality (700kbps) Max data rate: 700 kilobits per second (that is default, but I tried as high as 1000) Resize video: 450x300 Frame rate: Same as Source Key frame placement: Automatic -Matt -------------------------------------- http://www.leanbackvids.com/videoblog/ http://www.vlogmap.org/blog/ --- In [email protected], Joshua Kinberg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > example please? > > -Josh ------------------------ Yahoo!
