Honestly, I'm not really sure what the problem could be. The only reason (I could think of) that "New Movie Recording" might be missing is if you don't have a camera or something attached to your computer. That doesn't effect the mac version... so, that could have no bearing whatsoever. I wish I could be more helpful.

I looked in the file menu for "New Movie Recording" no such thing just
"new audio recording". I'm so close...aaaahh. so close...lol I will
keep searching on the net to see if i can get an answer. i don't want
