Okay, constraints noted. But, as previously noted, with no warning at all, it was impossible for most of us to participate even via the live chat or stream (had it been working properly). In all the rush, none of you - many of whom are active on this list - could remember to drop us a line?

Of course anyone has a right to run whatever event they want to in whatever way they want to, but, after all the democratic rhetoric in this group, it gets up my nose to find out about an "invitation only" event only after the fact, and to see a list of familiar names among the attendees, many of whom I would not define as developers (in fact, JD Lasica referred to the group as "developers, filmmakers, citizens media advocates and other creative people"). It feels exclusive, in a bad way. Is that where y'all want to be going with the concept of OPEN media?

I think this is silly.
It was a summit for developers, not a conference.
Space was extremely limited, it was put together very quickly, and completely out of pocket.
If the organizers choose to do a conference with sponsors and the whole she-bang next time, then that would certainly be great, but as it was there were serious constraints on resources and there was barely enough space for those who were invited.

There was an open chat and an open stream on the web though.
