The iSight is most definitely not overpriced. It's got the best image of any
Webcam on the market and well worth the extra dollars over Creative or
Logitech. iSight also works with PCs, making it compatible for what you want
to do.

One option before you give up on the Creative is to try the USB Webcam
drivers from sourceforge:
http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/

Their list of supported cams is hosed at the moment, but it might work.
