Why is it that you seem to think that individuals that videoblog are doing it in the pursuit of personal celebrity? Why can't they be doing it to document their lives or to connect with friends and family? Are you saying that anyone who publishes a blog, podcast or videoblog that contains information about their lives is aiming for personal celebrity? Is that what you're doing at dembot.com? Or, playing devil's advocate, couldn't someone make a case that Rocketboom is a vehicle to enhance Amanda's personal celebrity thereby hopefully producing offers of acting jobs? It seems to me that you throw around these comments (this one and others in the past) about individuals videoblogging as if what they (we) are doing is less valid, less bloggy, and now, it seems, to advance our own personal celebrity as if we were some scheming college student trying to get picked for the next Real World cast.
