re copyright for music - I believe the laws are different in different countries. fair use does not apply everywhere. it would be wise to contact your countries music collection organisation/s for any queries as they will know what applies to you and be able to offer advice. there are also different requirements regarding publishing and mechanical rights as well as artist/creator rights.

eg APRA/AMCOS covers Australia/NZ. here's a link to the list of reciprocal orgs they have arrangements with in other countries in case you're not sure of who your local org is. otherwise google should be able to tell you.
