The export to iPod gives the file a made up extension - .m4v. The problem is that IE doesn't know what to do with it. If you just rename the file to have the .mp4 extension everything will work like it did before.
There is another problem though. Video has rectangular pixels and computers have square pixels. When you watch DV video on a computer it is slightly compressed vertically. If you play that same video on a TV it has the correct aspect ratio. The export for iPod preserves the dv aspect ratio but doesn't make an allowance for the different pixel aspect ratio. The end result is 320 X 213 video which is slightly compressed vertically. It should convert the video to 320 X 240 but it doesn't. The best way around this is to not use the export for iPod option. It's dissapointing. I was hoping that would be a simple solution for people but it's not. If you want to make good quality movies out of quicktime, you're going to have to do the settings manually. The ones at Freevlog that you used earlier are a good start. You can also try basically those same settings with H.264 or 3ivx as the video codec and get great results (and iPod compatibility).

I've been using the iPod Movie 320x240 Export in Quicktime to encode
my movies and post on http://portlandjazzjams.blip.tv. They work fine
for me with my Firefox on the Mac, but Windows IE users have reported
problems. The blip.tv guy said to post here for a solution.

It would be good if this format worked because I can post both a Video
Podcast and a Video Blog entry at the same time, without having to
wait to encode 2 versions.

If you look on my blip.tv blog, you'll notice that the first two
entries were encoded using the Quicktime Freevlog tutorial, and seem
to work fine with Windows IE. But the next 3, which work well on my
Mac in  ITunes, Quicktime, Firefox and other viewers, do NOT work for
Windows IE for some reason.

I need to put instructions for the Windows IE users on the blip.tv
blog so they can view these files. Any help would be appreciated.
