Cracker didn't like that Virgin was putting out a greatest hits album so they re-recorded all the songs and are releasing it the same day on an independent label, Cooking Vinyl.
I guess i like the fact that the lead singer can make a casual video, speaking directly to their audience, and just say whats going on. http://www.cookingvinylusa.com/cracker_redux_small.mov i imagine that new artists/performers in the next 10 years will realize the directness we are creating and advocating...and will follow suit. if they have talent, there isn't as big of a need for a promotion machine.
