sure...no secrets.
there is no leader at node101.org, so others can jump in with their opinions.

> 1. What are your objectives?

to teach people how to videoblog.

> 2. Why do you want to take on the media?

its just about building a bigger buffet table. more outlets are healthier.
its important that regular people have an place for their ideas.
the idea is to flatten the playing field so you could publish your own
media without any gatekeepers making a decision if its good enough.
plus its just fun to post video online.

> 3. How much do you charge people to go on these courses?

free. we just ask people to get involved and help out.
the idea is that once you learn to videoblog, you then start teaching
other people.
that's what this Videoblogging does.

> 4. Do you all still have jobs in the film/TV industry?

i work at a Community TV station(http://mnn.org)
Josh Leo works for a radio service that makes content for developing nations.
steve does independent contract work in video/web design.
ryan used to be a video editor at PBS.

our day jobs are separate from volunteering to run a Node.

> 5. How exclusive is Node 101, could I join and do the same over here?

you seem to have an idea that we are extremely organized like a business.
we're just a bunch of like-minded people trying to do something good.
we would love for you to start a Node where you live.
find a free space to teach, wi-fi, and we'll hook you up with a blog.
just set regular hours and show up.
anyone who reads this...please open your own Node.
it really depends on each person's ingenuity.

> 6. How do you guys actually see the newbies such as myself, without any
> media training, videoblogging?

don't understand this question. you are videoblogging.
part of my personal mission is to smash this notion that making video
is difficult.
its easy.
the other mission is to make sure people understand that their voice
is important.
I dont need an audience of 1-million to show how i feel about the world.

> 7. Do you have ordinary jobs or do you actually work for or at Node 101?

its all volunteer.
we are trying to raise some money at VloggerCon so we can afford to
buy different nodes equipment, etc. most of us are using either old
computers...or expect people to have their own...or using existing
equipment in the places we teach.

Maybe you can explain why you think it was other than this.

hey paul, let me know if these answers were sufficient.
