I'm still a bit new here but I have a 2-part question.

I was having a hard time embedding youtube videos into my wordpress
blog, sometimes they would be there and somedays not. Thanks to this
forum I was led over to Blip.tv where the embedd always work.

Can someone explain to me why you would want to do what Michael Verdi
is doing with his Alive in Bagdad where he uses the permalinks and a
jpeg instead of just using the copy paste code that blip gives you to
embedd the video right into your blog?

Also, is there a reason why many blogs put all 3
formats: .mov, wma, flsh, under a post. Why wouldn't you just rely on
Flash? I thought that 98% of people had flash installed?

Thanks for the help,
Tobey
