In this way platforms like Wordpress could impliment such a transcoding engine right into the source code so that any video you posted to your blog would automatically be available not only in the original downloadable mp4 but also a web viewable Flash version. As it is one day software like this when combined with webservices like bloglines or odeo or mefeedia could help you bring all your subscriptions to a cell phone, a pda, a set top box, or any networked media device. If it works it could be an amazing future now that wifi enabled devices like the Nokia N series are starting to support aggregation of video podcasts in limited formats. My biggest interest these days is a future where videoblogs go beyond simply the desktop. Building out the network beyond the desktop to a host of independant devices so your media and everyone's media can flow anywhere in the world wether it be a networked media player in the back seat of minivan or SUV in your garage or directly to your cell phone or PDA as you walk down the street.
