hi this isn't a problem with FCE (eg try doing similar in FCP) but with compressing/converting content then tryhing to compress/convert it again. It is usually lossy rather than lossless which causes these problems. Been a while since I used FCE but from memory if you export it uncompressed or DV then you get the huge file (since no compression) and that should recompress OK. however in my version of FCE if I choose File - Export - QuickTime conversion then I get the normal QT dialogue box and there you can set your usual Freevlog settings, I'm not sure you need to add an extra step there? -- cheers Adrian Miles this email is bloggable [ ] ask first [ ] private [x] hypertext.RMIT <URL:http://hypertext.rmit.edu.au/admin/briefEmail.html >
