welcome Diana my wife and i both have Xacti c5's. they have been great little cameras.
but sound is not it's strong point. there is no external mic jack and there are certain noise artifacts that i hear in my videos I hear the same noises in the videos of other vlogger friends that have C4's and C5's. depending on your intended use, these may or may not be annoying. these are little motor type sounds. little clicks and whir's and such. you can definitely hear the zoom when it is operating. Jay Dedman has the newer Xacti HD and i think it has an external mic jack. check out his or Ryanne's vlogs to see some examples (e.g., http://www.momenshowing.net or http://ryanishungry.com Not sure about the newer Xacti C6. does anyone have any experience with one? how's the sound? of course, once you have the proper tool, much will depend on how you use it. one of the great gifts of this group has been meeting fellow vlogger Jan of http://fauxpress.blogspot.com. she often shares tips here about how to work your tools and environment to capture the best audio, Markus On Jan 28, 2007, at 8:46 AM, dequila73 wrote: > Hey everyone.
