Personally I really like LiveStagePro, made by the dreadfully named Totally Hip Technologies.. http://www.totallyhip.com/products.html Well, *like* is putting it a bit strongly as it can be idiosyncratic to say the least..plus its not cheap, plus support from said TH is a joke, *but* it really does unlock all sorts of quirky & wonderful stuff within QuickTime. Not only hyperlinking but interactivity & generativity.. For example I made this generative piece
http://www.somedancersandmusicians.com/vlog/ScenesOfProvincialLife.cgi/2006/03/16#post47 & this piece, which takes a feed from a live web cam: http://www.somedancersandmusicians.com/vlog/ScenesOfProvincialLife.cgi/2006/07/24#post102 & this one where *you* upload the content: http://www.somedancersandmusicians.com/vlog/ScenesOfProvincialLife.cgi/2006/12/17#post128 with the assistance of LSP. There's also rather a good book http://www.amazon.com/Interactive-QuickTime-Authoring-Wired-Developer/dp/1558607463/ref=pd_sim_b_1/103-7922496-2881427 which is essentially a guide to LSP. I understand one can also script QT directly in Java & such - way beyond me. michael
