macro lets you do extreme close up, like filming bugs, flowers water droplets etc. this is when lens very close to subject (as opposed to long way away and using a big zoom lens) and most lenses can't focus that close. so good if you want close ups of things that you are close up too :-) -- cheers Adrian Miles this email is bloggable [ ] ask first [ ] private [x] vogmae.net.au
