Well, I think that's an important part of the "get paid to videoblog"
equation.  I think you have to do something that someone sees as an
aid to their business so that they want to be involved with you. 
Doing it the other way wouldn't work, IMO, unless you lucked out and
what you liked to do just so happened to be something that someone
else could get visibility for their product or service from.
  
Ability to attain sponsorship may be something for someone to
seriously consider at the ground floor if monetization is a goal with
their videoblog at all.
